Mice and Mazes and Cheese, Oh My!

My sister, Emma, has decided she wants a mouse, and she also wants to build a maze, put cheese at the end and see if the mouse can find it. And not only does she want the mouse, but my parents said she could get it! She said she saw one at Petco that was black and had blue eyes with little specks of white on its hair. I do not know if that is true, and Emma might have just seen a mouse with black eyes and the light was just gleaming off of them. I might be wrong, but have you ever seen a mouse with BLUE eyes? Emma has built the maze and is ready to get the rodent!

This is random, but do any of you know a good Pumpkin Pie recipe? Trying to find one to make for dessert next week.

Bath Day!

Today I gave my moms yorkie, C.C., a bath. She was out picking up my little sister from my cousins, and took all the other girls and one baby boy, with her. That gave me plenty of time. Now C.C. used to HATE baths. But now she has over come her fear, and might I add, LOVES IT!!!!! She especially loves when the shampoo comes out and she gets that wonderful massage on her back.

Here is my little munchin, Lilly, looking at her new brothers and sisters
My mom got C.C so she could breed her, and she has had the CUTEST puppies. I got one from one of her last litters, and she turned out to be the runt, growing not much taller then my ankle.
She ran away or was taken, about one month after she turned one. Lilly and I share the same birth month, only one day apart. But I prefer big dogs, so does my mom, and we have raised Great Danes in the past.

Okay, back to bath day. After C.C was all blow dried and brushed, I tried to take pictures but she is camera shy, and each time I bring out the camera to take pictures of her she will turn her head, and wont look at me unless she is 100% sure I do not have the camera. Such a silly girl. :) So How has everybody doing? Anybody getting new puppies soon? And thank you everybody who commented on my old posts. I love hearing from y'all!!

Hello!

Hi people! My Internet was not working for the past two days, hence no posts. I was reading the Guide Dog Puppy blog ( http://www.doyourbusiness.org/) and saw that she was giving away a homemade leash for free. In order for me to get this leash I have to:
1. Like her puppy groups FB page
2. Post the link on blog/facebook/twitter
3. And then comment that I did all two (well three actually)

Here is the link,

 There you go!

Tips Anybody?

As I said before, I am ALMOST ready to send in my puppy application! I am getting a little nervous, and I'm afraid that the puppy will do something that I'm not ready for. Any tips or suggestions about what to do when you first get your puppy? And what to watch for? All answers GREATLY appreciated.

Second Day

Well it is the second day of the blogging thing, and today I did nothing but chores, think about my future guide dog puppy, babysit, think about my future guide dog puppy, play with my little sisters, talk to my friend about my future guide dog puppy, read, and... did I mention the NON-STOP thinking about my future puppy? ;) Sooo... Yep! that pretty much sums my day up! (and the occasion of getting cut by grass. Yes, I was really cut by grass. It hurts!)

November: National Blogging Month

As some of you may know, this month is national blogging month. So I will try to blog everyday (keyword TRY) A week ago I emailed the group leader for LSPR and asked if I can get a house check. She said that I need to keep coming to the meetings and go to one of the puppy classes. (Puppy 101) I have a question, (do I ever not?) Can you choose which breed you want and what color, gender and so forth? Or do they just give you a puppy? And can you send in names for the pups?

No Pictures

This weekend has been... interesting to say the least. Remember how I said my whole family was sick? Well, my sister and I were going to go to Dallas with my dad, early, early Saturday morning. That was the only way we could get to the guide dog meet. So Saturday morning arrives and I start feeling sick to my stomach. I go and tell my mom, who in turn tells my dad. He leaves without us. Now my sister, Emma, has been asleep this whole time, therefore does not know what is going on. She wakes me up at six and say's "Oh, crap! Maddie, dad already left!" I told her what had happened, and she got really mad at me. Later on in the day I feel fine, and totally regretting that I thought that I was sick. So, long story short, I missed the meeting, have no pictures and did not get sick! Oh reading back in my other posts, I noticed that I said that Lone Star Puppy Raisers meet four to five times a week. So not true! What I meant to say was that we meet four to five times a month. Sorry. Another question, I read in the puppy raising manual that my fence had to be five feet high. Mine is only four (yes I actually measured it). Do you think they'll let it slide? If not I could figure out how to raise the fence, and if you guys have any ideas, comment!

SICK :(

The past few days my whole house has been sick. And having seven people in the house doesn't help. I don't think I mentioned before, but I am home schooled. Which makes it that much easier to raise a puppy. I have a guide dog meeting on Sunday, and I can NOT get sick. I live about a hour away from where Lone Star Puppy Raisers meet. They met about five to six times a month. I can only go to one because of how far I live and gas. I can't wait till I can drive. Then my mom and dad wouldn't have to take me and spend their gas money. And the next meeting I can go to is November 20th. So, as I have said before, I. Can. NOT. Get. Sick. My mom is sick right now and I have to watch my little sisters. All five of them. I have four younger sisters and one baby brother. I, if you haven't figured out, am the oldest. Oh, and about my story. Just tell me yes or no.

My Story

As I mentioned before, I am a writer. I am writing a story about a girl that gets a guide dog puppy and I was wondering if y'all might want to read some of it? I could post a chapter. And you guys could give me some suggestions on some of the ideas. Like wether or not to keep them in the story, that sort of thing. I would not be offended by anything you say. So just give me some feedback! Thanks.

Me Again

Hi! Well, I have some questions. I need to puppy-sit before I get a dog, and before I puppy-sit I need to have a house check. Can anyone tell me how long it takes before they do that??? Thanks.
